Is it safe to have an In-home Photo Session?

We are two thirds into 2021, and unfortunately, Covid-19 is still very present (front and center) in our community.

So the question I’ve received a lot is ‘Is it safe to have a photo session in my house?’

And my answer isn’t cut and dry. I really wish it was, but it’s not. Sorry.

I think it’s safe as long as you are comfortable with having me or any photographer come into your home to have a photo session. It’s a very personal decision that everyone needs to make and work with what’s best for themselves and their family.

What I can tell you is the precautions I take while I’m in your home during a photo session.

  • I wear a mask from the time I exit my car to the time I get back in my car after your photo session.

  • I do not touch any person without explicit permission from either the parents or the individual themselves. I always ask permission and if you say no, I respect it.

  • I respect boundaries set by my clients. Want to keep social distanced, I’m good with that. Ok with me getting close to capture a photo, I’m good with that too.

  • I will tell my clients my vaccination status if asked. I’m not trying to hide anything. I’m an open book, so if you want to know, just ask me!

So if you want to have a photo session in your house, I’m all for it! If you’re in, I’m in! I love in-home photo sessions, and I can’t wait to capture you and your family in the house you live and love in!

Ready to book your in-home photo session? Let’s do it!
