First Meeting with Santa

My kids have never met Santa.

Personally, I have thought it was a little weird to have your child sit in a stranger's lap and tell him what they want for Christmas.  Harmless fun, yes.  Creepy to me, definitely.  I, very vividly, remember being creeped out by meeting Santa when I was 4 or 5 years old.  My dad's ship had a Christmas event, and I remember thinking Santa was creeping me out.  I wanted nothing to do with him.

Because of my personal phobia, my kids never met Santa until last week.

One of my friends had a potluck dinner with Santa showing up.  My two oldest were fine with it.  They talked to him and told him what they wanted.  It lasted all of 30 seconds, and they were over it.  Sawyer and Cassidy not so much.

Sawyer kept eyeing him trying to figure out who this guy in a Santa outfit was.  He stayed close to me or upstairs playing most of the time.  Cassidy was a little mini me.  She wanted nothing to do with Santa and gave him I look I know by heart.  It's the same exact look I gave to Santa, and I have proof in my personal childhood home movies.  It was like looking in the mirror, and I could nothing but laugh.  Luckily, Andrew saved the day and held her most of the time.

And as always, I took photos.
