Family Mini Photo Session | Pflugerville, TX

I shot this family at Lake Pflugerville during Golden Hour.  Golden Hour is a term used by photographers to indicate the last hour of sunlight in the day.  As a photographer, it is my absolute favorite time to photograph anybody.  The sun is a beautiful golden color, the sky turns all these beautiful colors, and I can get a little more creative with the light.

Check out this beautiful family mini photo session!

Family Mini Photo Session | Pflugerville, TX

It's been crazy around my house lately!

With Thanksgiving the week before last and all the preparation that goes into it, plus my kids being out of school for a whole week, I haven't been able to blog about any of my recent (and not so recent) photo sessions.  So bare with me as I try to catch up on all my photo blogging.

I shot a few family mini-sessions out at Lake Pflugerville back in October.  Yes, I'm that fa behind(eek!).  All of the families were a blast to work with!  I got to shoot this lovely family friend of mine and her adorable children.  Seriously, they both are so stinkin' cute!  Enjoy this family photo session!

Family Mini Photo Session | Pflugerville, TX

Holiday and Fall family photo sessions are in full swing around here.  It's just that time of year!

I had family mini-sessions scheduled far in advance for this family.  Unfortunately, I can't schedule the weather too!  We had a cold front that blew in this weekend, and it got cold here in Texas.  The wind was constantly blowing hard, and it was in the 50s.  And for us Texans, that's really cold; especially when the previous day hit the 80 degree mark.

Luckily this family were troopers and bared the cold, windy weather to have their family photos taken.  Enjoy!

In Love with this Session!

I loved this family photography session so much!

From the beginning, they were crazy easy to photograph.  This family was awesome about having fun. We just chilled near the water and soaked up some warm Central Texas weather.  I was a little worried it was going to be cold, since it was really cold the day before.  However, the sun came out, the air warmed up, and it was a beautiful, cloudless day.

It's fun sessions like these that make me thankful for being a photographer.  Just capturing the connections between families and siblings make every moment special.  And of course, I captured Mom and Dad by themselves because it's always nice to remember where everything started!

Enjoy these Family Photos!

Stop at Lake Pflugerville

Last week, I took the two littles over to Lake Pflugerville.  They love the water and throwing rocks into it.  I wanted to break up the monotony of going to a park to play.

What I didn't expect were the loud group of ducks waiting for us.  The ducks are accustomed to people but expect food from people.  And I was not prepared to feed ducks on my impromptu stop at the lake.

After weeks of rain, the ground by the edge of the lake was still quite muddy.  I was taking photos while running after one child or the other to keep them from becoming stuck and falling down into the mud.  Such fun parenting times!!

A sweet older gentleman stopped by the lake to feed the ducks.  He saw the kids and myself and decided to bring his bag of bread over to my littles allowing them to feed the ducks.  Such kindness is not always around these days, and it was very much appreciated by myself and my children.

The kids had so much fun feeding the ducks!  I've promised to take them back to feed the ducks.  I'm putting it on my to do list now so I don't forget about it.

Here's a small share of documentary photos I took while at Lake Pflugerville and of the kids feeding the ducks.
