Family Christmas Session

Last week, I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful family!

After a rough beginning, these kids rocked this it!  I had smiles and giggles from Baby A, and Little E loved laughing and clapping. He even read a Christmas book to Mom an Sister!  I loved all the smiles and small moments with this family.  We even caught Dad in a photograph every now and then!

Enjoy this cute Christmas pajama session!

A Dip in the Creek

Last week while the older two started school, I took Sawyer and Cassidy over to Pfluger Park.  It has a nice shady play area.

After playing on the playground for awhile, we took a walk down to the creek.  It took them all of 2 minutes before they started playing with the water.  At first, I just let them splash with their hands and tried my best to keep them as dry as possible.

I quickly realized it wasn't worth it.

Especially when Cassidy took off her shoes and socks by herself, so she could put her feet in the water.  At that point in time, I knew the battle was already lost.

The creek water was pretty cold, but they didn't seem to care.  I snapped photo after photo of them getting soaking wet.  And they were perfectly happy!

Enjoy photos of my wet children playing in the creek bed!

He loved the rocks.

And finally, Cassidy picking her nose.

Lensbaby Edge 80!

I had a birthday a couple weeks ago, and my awesome husband got me a Lensbaby Edge 80!  He's the best!

The Lensbaby Edge 80 is a fun, creative lens.  It allows me to focus on a slice in my frame while blurring the rest out of focus.

I've been taking it out for a spin a couple times a week to get used it since it's quite different than any other camera lens I own.  After some trial and error, I'm finally getting the hang of it!  Check out some of my recent photos with my new optic Edge 80.

Walk along the Trail

We are lucky enough to have the Brushy Creek Trail just a short distance from our house.  The Brushy Creek Trail is almost a 7 mile trail which will one day extend the entire width of Round Rock, East to West, and into north Austin.

My kids love to walk on the trail.  I like it because the path by our house is almost completely shaded which is perfect on the hot, summer days we've been having.  The trail is runs along a rancher's land who has longhorns and a donkey.  If we're lucky, the longhorns and donkey are grazing a feeding next to the trail.

Last week was one of those lucky mornings.  All four kids tried to feed the donkey, but he wasn't having it.  My kids were mesmerized by the longhorns and just stood and watched them until I finally said we have to go back to the car.  I was getting hot.

Our trail walk.

Tough Guy

When you look like you've won a prize fight but in fact just had a scooter accident, I take a photograph.

Apparently, the power boost Jackson put on his scooter was a little too much.  A tumble and fall later, he looked like this.  His knuckles and elbow were scraped up and bleeding as well.  He seriously looked like he stepped off the mats of his Mixed Martial Arts fight.

Good thing he's tough!
